My wife was born and raised on Bainbridge Island. When we moved back, the house we found turned out to be around the corner from the one she grew up in. We are raising two boys here.
I am a civil engineer by training and have spent two decades in construction — eleven of those years running my own general contracting company, delivering everything from houses to a museum and a fire station. I notice things. A door that sits differently than it did last week. A stain that was not there before. A sound a furnace should not make. That is the whole job — someone local who knows your house well enough to see what changed, and who tells you the same day.
